Rapper Kanye West joins an all-star list of performers for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. The annual kudos fest will take place in Las Vegas this Sunday (May 17).
The “All Day” rhymer will close out the awards ceremony. Producers of the show wouldn’t divulge what he’s bringing to the BMAs stage but it’s presumed that he will perform a song from his upcoming, Swish. This will be Yeezy’s first time performing at the event even though he’s a five-time BMAs winner.
Other previously-announced performers include Nicki Minaj and John Legend, both of whom ‘Ye has worked with in the past. Other artists on the performers’ list include Wiz Khalifa, Iggy Azalea (with Britney Spears), Sam Smith, Mariah Carey and others.
Kanye’s last television performance here in the U.S. was at the 2015 Grammy Awards back in February. The 37-year-old rapper-producer performed his ode to North West “Only One” and later rocked out with Rihanna and Paul McCartney on their collaborative tune, “FourFiveSeconds.”
When it comes to Kanye’s performances, expect the unexpected. Hopefully, his set will just be as fiery as his rendition of “All Day” at the 2015 Brit Awards.
The 2015 Billboard Music Awards, with hosts Ludacris and Chrissy Teigen, will air live on ABC this Sunday (May 17) at 8PM ET.
