Kanye West’s ‘Bound 2’ Gets Remade Into a Children’s Book

Graphic designer and illustrator Zak Tebbal has created something that even Kanye West might find impressive. He designed a wonderful children’s book inspired by the rapper-producer’s love ode “Bound 2.” The book is called Bound 2gether and it’s the cutest thing we have ever read.

Bound 2gether is a story about a guy named Kanye who is “the coolest kid in town” and his adorable chick Kim, who’s actually a baby chick. When Kim catches Kanye playing with other chickens she runs away from her coop. This prompts Kanye to go on a massive search “all night and all day” (see what we did there) to find his baby chick.

We won’t spoil the ending for you but let’s just say that Kanye learns that “One good chick is worth a thousand chickens.”

Tebbal told The Fader that he made the book as part of his design thesis at New York’s School of Visual Arts. He felt it was it was important to transform Kanye’s “Bound 2” because of the song’s overall message.

“The translation of ‘Bound 2’ into a children’s book felt appropriate because the only audience that Kanye isn’t reaching right now is toddlers, and they are missing out on some of the important life lessons that Kanye has to offer,” he said. “As a big Kanye fan, I felt the need to fill this void.”

Tebbal says he’s working on another Kanye-inspired project called Baby Yeezus, which is a lullaby version of the Yeezus album. It’s will be interesting to see how he translates “New Slaves” or “Hold My Liquor” into cute baby songs.
